Domestic Work is Work

One of the banners I designed last year.

Bantay Ceasefire Manual

This is the cover of the Bantay Ceasefire / Field Operations Manual I designed during the last quarter of 2010.  In 68 pages (including cover), the 6″x9″ manual was produced by the Mindanao Peoples Caucus (MPC), one of the non-government organizations that actively participates in the peace process for Mindanao.  MPC is headed by Atty. Mary Ann M. Arnado as the current MPC secretary general.

The manual is not for sale. It is intended for dissemination to the network of MPC in line with their role in the bantay ceasefire efforts in Mindanao.

Sample Stickers

Recently, I designed about two dozens of stickers on aircooled volkswagen beetle and type 2 bus. The client (I presumed because I never asked her location), is based in Manila and we came to know through the internet and made the project via few email exchanges. The magic of today’s communication technology.

Rush Sticker & Mobile Signage

These were rush sample designs that my brother in faith asked me to do recently. He used the materials for his advertising proposal demo. The outputs would be stickers for tricycles as you can see from the graphic arts.

Illustration

Recently, I drew a dozen of greyscale illustrations for GTZ. I selected one drawing for a rush color rendering using Adobe Photoshop.

Listen Mindanao Forum Logo

Recent design I did for a local initiative in relation to the on-going national elections (for May 10, 2010).  I did two versions of the logo. The presidential forum will be held on April 16 in the afternoon in Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) under the auspices of the Initiatives for International Dialogue (IID).

The drawing represents the tri-people character of Mindanao – the Settlers (Christians), Indigenous People (we have about 18 tribes) and the Moro People. The kid at the end of the row represents hope, if you ask me. Then the background of the people faces, there stand the nature (to capture the animism of the IP), mosque and the church. The color scheme tries to capture the essence of the flag of the country. Btw, “paminaw” is Bisayan for “listen”. That’s it.
